This weeks addition of the LDWA round up is brought to you by Cost-co home brand Tissues " Dry your eyes mate." This weeks episode is a review of the past weeks action which was of course the premiere of Monday Night Decimation. This weeks intro begins playing as the host walks onto camera and takes his seat behind the antique mahogany desk.
Dry your eyes mate
I know it's hard to take but her mind has been made up
There's plenty more fish in the sea
Dry your eyes mate
I know you want to make her see how much this pain hurts
But you've got to walk away now
It's over
The lights come on in the room revealing the host to be none other than James O'Connell, Co GM of LDWA. Dressed in a dark grey suit and a green tie, he adjusts his microphone before looking the camera dead in the eyes and speaking.
James " Hello and welcome to the first addition of the LDWA weekly round up, we have a great show for you guys tonight. Lets start it off with the top 5 shall we?
At Number 5, he is none other than the Japanese new comer. This cruiserweight took Decimation by storm this week, defeating not one but two other superstars in his debut on American soil, he is Keiji Sugawara.
At number 4, This disturbed loner, showed his true colours this week when he busted open his opponent to claim victory in his first blood match this week, thats right you've guessed it, he is Draven.
At number 3, This young debutante proved hes more than just an average rich boy by putting on a technical master class this week and coming out on top, yup its N.C Banks.
At number 2, This cocky young upstart really impressed me this week and just narrowly missed out on the top spot of my top 5, he is Sam Octavia Blade and he proved himself to be a true S.O.B this week.
And at number 1 this week, This guy is a bonafied bad ass who is more than willing to break the rules in order to succeed, just ask Magnus Gunnar if you don't trust me, yes you guessed it he is The Proeliator.
James pauses after calling out his top five for the camera and takes a sip of water from his glass, before placing it back down on the desk. He adjusts his tie and runs his fingers through his hair whilst taking a deep breathe, in preparation for speaking.
Now that I've got the top five out of the way, we are onto my favorite section of the show, the special categories.
The first of which was most promising. This is a particularly hard topic as I was really impressed with all of our performers who went out there an put it all on the line this week. But one young star in particular managed to shine amongst all the others in his first ever professional outing, despite his defeat, he is Josh Gaines.
The second special category is the A for effort award, which is for those who showed outstanding effort in the line of fire and yet came up short. This award is for one particular performer who opened my eyes this week, she stood toe to toe with the best in the business and didn't blink only to have victory snatched from her at the last moment, she is Kahlan.
Well thats all the time we have for this week, apologies for those who never managed to earn an award this week. Maybe if you put your heads down this week and try harder I might be mentioning your name next week. So remember in the words of our sponsor until next week, Dry your eyes mate."
The camera fades to black as the video stops rolling.
